I’ve read through a few pages of the Tease site and I can easily sum up the difference between the two sites:
Tease is just Hawtness gone mainstream. Artistic, Geeky, and Humorous images are all gone, and the “vote” section is also completely lacking. Taking its place is just the standard trope of Celebrity bullcrap that I specifically came to this site to avoid.

Good advice. Having just checked out Blackspidey’s Lolz page myself, I would suggest it is like a mini-Hawtness all on its own. Although we won’t get to comment on them, at least there will still a little part of the Cheez network that is still Hawt.
I hope others will join me in continuing to upload Hawtness, even if we won’t have a dedicated site for it any more.

this is the first time the site that was getting closed had a good stream of content submission and posts in addition to having a large viewer/commenter base.
I don’t know who made this decision, but it couldn’t have been a good one. Probably not financial and more shrouded in worries about political correctness or family friendliness. *sigh*
In short, Joe I’ll miss you and your content on my RSS feeds. To whoever made this decision: you’re a dolt.
P.S. As the others have noted tease.thedailywh.at is a poor substitute for this site, at best, and an infuriating suggestion, at worst.

TDW isn’t even a pale imitation of this site. TDW has been removed from google reader and ICHC and Failblog are one poor thought out transition away from being removed.

First HackedIRL then Bob’s house of videogames, now hawtness! what is going on here?! Did Ben Huh loose his damned mind? WTF?! He got 30 million dollars AND he’s killing off the best bits! What’s he need space for? more inane lolcat crap? This really is the straw that broke the camel’s back.
My Daily Coffee opens up five Cheezburger sites every single day. But if I have to remove this one, I’m thinking I might as well take out the others too.
I’m sure there’s all sorts of math being done higher up, but there is no way I’ll believe that Hawtniss has the highest overhead/viewership ratio. It updates far less frequently than the others, so the hosting has to be smaller, and it has a ton of people who read it every day. There are a bunch of Cheezeburger sites that I’m sure fewer people would miss.
Joe said that this transition was because hawtniss was closest to this new dailywh.at page. Frankly, that’s just wrong. On the broad basis of “are there nearly-naked women”, then yes… but that also makes it like 85% of the rest of the internet. It’s the humor, and the weirdness, that makes this site unique.
I, for one, hope the brass up top reconsider. The Cheezburger Network has pulled too many of my favorites already, and I’m not sure I’m willing to continue supporting them.

Everyday, at least once, I used to open a total of 43 sites, in tabs, out of which 11 ‘were’ Cheezburger sites, in my portable Firefox.
As a tribute to this site, the best for all hot blooded AND intellectual males, I shall be deleting all of those from my “Dailies” folder.
As you said, probably 85% of the internet is full of-what “people” insinuate this one of being as well- Soft Porn web sites. THEY are the perverts who are just unable to take their eyes off the Women’s booties on either 2Leep.com or some other soft/hard-porny website and this one AND separate Hawtness on the basis of its subtle humour and sheer-intellectual-comments, at times. Nothing comes even close!
This is just no way to treat customers/clients/viewers/fans.
The new page is, methinks, Joe’s way of satirically conveying the poor joke that is, undoubtedly, on all of us. Including him! I bet my fat ass on this one!
I am sad and indignant and SHALL delete all the other Cheezburger sites from my network as I am sure, having worked with these crazy MBA-waale humans (tap-tap-tap) in corporate world, a decision once taken, no matter how inherently against common sense, has to be struck to, like a pig’s semen, as reverting it shall amount to a sacrilegious disregard of their ‘Decision-making-Ability.’

I’d love to think that the new page is a joke, but honestly I’m fairly convinced that someone, somewhere in the chain, decided it was a suitable alternative. But you’re absolutely right, no matter the furor we raise here, they won’t change their decision. That would mean they were wrong. Most business men, it seems, would usually rather admit they’re having an affair with the secretary than admit that they were wrong. Even then, it was an “unfortunate decision resulting from the pressures of leadership.”
Like you have had or will have any experience in leading a business. You are blessed graced with the lack of intelligence and Intestinal fortitude.

TDW:T is utterly unrelated. The joy of Hawtness was the WTF edge. Not just more random celeb shots and magazine spreads. That stuff is everywhere; Hawtness was unique.
I follow a set of blogs daily, my version of a newspaper, over lunch at work. News, tech, a couple comics… And Hawtness. I’ve looked forward to checking out the new pics every day for over a year, and I’ve got to say I’m really sad that it’s over.
Anyone have a torrent/link to the content? Or do I have to go and pull it all the old fashioned way?

I used to read 4 or 5 different cheezburger sites each day, and this was always my favorite. I have to say that I could see this coming for a while. They made it practically impossible to find hawtness unless you knew exactly where to look or you had it bookmarked. Screw cheezburger. I will still check out failblog and failblog after dark, but that is it. Whoever made this decision sucks massive lugnuts and should have a bunch of ballcocks shoved up his coal chute.
I’ve been busy and haven’t checked the site for a few days. I love when that happens because I get an extra big dose of Hawtness….but this does just suck. Where else can a girl find such a perfect mix of funny/sexy/wtfness? So sad to see it go!

Long time reader, first time poster. I really enjoyed the WTFness of this site. I’ve been reading Hawtness in my GReader for a very long time. And I’d often share the Hawties with a list of friends. I’m disappointed that it came to this. The feed for TDS, I mean TDW, is really lacking in WTF shots.

One of my favorite websites ever. I will really miss submitting stuff here. Hell, I still have a Hawtness folder with dozens of photos I put aside to send it.
For those of you who liked the kind of stuff I submitted, I do have a tumblr that features sexy ladies. Just went to Daily Tease. It sucks. Just another average boring “here’s a random hot twig girl” website. We have a million of those. I liked Hawtness because it was sexy, funny, crazy, weird, but without being over the top (most of the time). I never knew if I was going to laugh, get a chub, or raise an eyebrow. There was nothing like it.
Since the switch to Daily What, I can honestly say this is leaving my favorites bookmark. Cheezburger messed up here.
I’ve already tried most of the alternative sites mentioned, and was very disappointed, but I found Hot Oddity which has mush the same take on photography as Hawtness. Sensous art photos, with fun WTF factor, and all done with class. I’ve added it to my own daily view list – chances are you might too. Check it out. BTW – my opinion is legit – I don’t know who runs that blog, and I have no personal connection to it -just see if it is your style or not.
